Bio

Funeral services for Andrew Didner, citizen of Westphalia for many years were held at Westphalia at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 10, with Rev. Robert P. Schertz, pastor of the Visitation Parish, officiating. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Westphalia, with Nicherolson directing. Mr. Didner was born February 23, 1873, in Germany. He came to Westphalia community many years ago where he reared his family with the pioneers of the community. He is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth of Midland, Helen and Katherine of Waco, and Ann of Westphalia; two sons, Andy of La Porta, TX, and Alois of Westphalia; and two sisters, Mrs. John Lingnau of Westphalia and Mrs. Frank Gerngross of Rowena, TX. His wife preceded him in death 14 months ago. Mr. Didner passed away in Providence Hospital, Waco, TX, on Tuesday, April 8, 1941 at 7:45 p.m. (The Rosebud News. 11 April 1941 )
