Bio

Services for Charles "Ted" Collins, 76, of Lufkin, were held October 23, 1990 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Collins served in the U. S. Army and was a former member of the Hudson ISD school board. He was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church and a former deacon of Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Fae Collins; son and daughter-inlaw, Jerry and Dorothy Collins; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharron and Lynn Anderson and La Wanda and Bill Horton; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Rhonda Merriman; brother, Chester Collins; sisters, Dorotha Tankersley and Grace Selman; 9 grandchildren, Chuck Collins, Debbie Murphy, Bronwyn Valentine, Jason Anderson, Shanna McGee, Shari Meyer, John David Merriman, Joy Merriman and James Merriman; and three great-grandchildren.
