Bio

Graveside services for Ivy Jones Collins, Sr., 68, of Lufkin, were held September 14, 1988 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Collins was the son of Charles Porter Collins and Bertah Ivy. He was retired from the machine shop of Lufkin Industries after 14 years of service. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Collins; son and daughter-in-law, Ivy Jones and Wendy Collins Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Jimmy D. Foster and Kellie and Marvin W. Gerren; brothers, Chester and Ted; sisters, Robbie Jeans and Dortha Tankersly; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by a son, Jay Wesley Collins.
