Bio

Mary Jane Kinnamon, 81, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 3, 1929 in Konawa, OK, the daughter of John A. & Ruth (Brinlee) Elliott. Mary worked for Southwestern Bell starting in Shawnee, OK for 15 years, transferring to Muskogee, OK where she completed the remainder of her 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of CWA and was a life member of the Pioneers. A very special thanks to her grandson, Kyle Kinnamon for the devoted and exceptional care he gave his grandmother. Mary was a loving mother, wife and friend, but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved spending Christmas with her family, never missing for 40 years the get-togethers with her sisters and brothers and special slumber parties with her sisters. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, August 18, 2010, her parents and a sister. A celebration of Mary Jane's life will be held at 1:00 p. m., Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Fort Gibson Bradley Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Bill in Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
