Fifty-eight years ago she was married to Peter D. Weis at Port Washington. Soon afterwards they came to Fillmore County Nebraska, settling in Momence township. In 1899 they moved to Geneva, where they had since resided. A few months ago a residence was moved to lots on South Ninth street and Mr. and Mrs. Weis occupied this modern cottage after residing many yeas on the west side of town. Mrs. Weis is survived by her husband, five children, Charles J. of Gillette, Wyo., Lawrence A. of Chicago, Ill., Cordelia Weis of New York City, Louis J. Weis of Chicago and Edmond B. of Evanston, Wyo.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Otto Sampont of Port Washington, Wis., and Albert Sampont of Vale, S. D.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Weis of Geneva and Mrs. Katherine Wenting of Appleton, Wis. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur A., in 1930.
