Mrs. Frances Courtney (Branch) Garrett was born to William Miner and Mary Ann Uzzell) Branch on 17 Dec 1841 in Culleoka, TN. She married Lucius Cahal Garrett on 19 Dec 1865 and they were the parents of Melena Elizabeth Garrett, Mary Ozella Garrett, Frances Lucretia Garrett, Fanine (?) Garrett, William "Willie" Whitthorne Garrett, Laura Pearl Garrett, and Lloyd Tilman Garrett. The family relocated to Texas after 1878.
