Usually two spellings for Cager. McKager/Kager & McCager/ Cager. More of "Cager". His mother listed in the obit was Margaret "Radford" but more research at later dates, it was "Lunsford". Even brother Daniel Mitchel, on his Jackson Co birth record, has mom as Radford. MACRAL KAGER WARD DIES IN BEREA COLLEGE HOSPITAL. Macral Kager Ward, 79 year old, McKee resident, died at the Berea College Hospital at 9:15 am, July 15, after a long illness. A native of this county, he was born March 2, 1883, a son of John S & Margaret Radford Ward. He was married to Mary Pennington, who with nine children survives. The children are: Lillian Bowles, Dayton, Ohio, Dorothy Bales, Hamilton, Ohio, Della Reese, Franklin, Ohio, Virginia Fullington, Coldwater, Michigan, Dewey Ward, Franklin, Ohio, Herman & Walter Ward, Coldwater, Michigan, & Roy & Bruce Ward, McKee; one sister, Martha Hubbard, Burning Springs, Ky; two brothers, Zack Ward, Mummie, Ky, & Sherman Ward, Blackwater; 21 grandchildren; & two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 am, July 17, at the Justice & Lakes Chapel by Jim Sandlin. Interment was in the Farmer's Cemetery on New Zion Ridge with Justice & Lakes Funeral Home in charge.
