Bio

Reese Tuck Casperson 12/20/1926~2/10/2004 Born to John William and Edna Maughan Casperson in Banida, Idaho. member LDS Church. He was raised in Banida and educated in Preston, Idaho. He joined the Army in 1945 and served in the United States and Germany until his honorable release in 1947. He attended Utah State University studying carpentry. He met his wife Jolean there and they married on November 26, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with nine children and raised their family in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he was a successful home builder. Reese was active in the LDS Church, serving in many callings including Bishop and High Councilman. He loved his family very much and considered them his greatest possession. ?Dad, you will be missed. Survived by his wife, Jolean and children; Ed (Kim) Casperson, Sandy, Utah; Karen Christensen, Rigby, Idaho; John (Wendy) Casperson of Draper, Utah; Joe (Lori) Casperson, Twin Falls, Idaho; Renee Casperson, West Jordan, Utah; Adelia (Jim) Marsh, Parker, Colorado; Les (Angela) Casperson, West Jordan, Utah; and Paul Casperson, Phoenix, AZ; 24 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and sisters and his son, Terry William Casperson. Also survived by his brother, Nate (Beth) Casperson of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and a sister, Melissa (Howard) Ward, Boise, Idaho. The family wishes to express their thanks to the VA Medical Center staff, the Heritage Bennion Care Center and the I.C.U. staff at Cottonwood Hospital for their many kindnesses in behalf of our husband and father. Funeral services will be held at the Fox Hills Ward, 3750 W. 6200 So., Taylorsville on Saturday, February 14th, 1:00 p.m. Friends and family may at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary 1950 E. 10600 So. in Sandy on Friday from 7-9 P.M. and at the ward on Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
