Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 am from the Willow Springs Baptist Church for Mrs. Virginia E. Miller, 89, who passed away at her home, route one, Athens, at 12:30 pm Thursday, after a lengthy illness. The Rev. Irvin Mills officated and burial was in the Rhone Cemetery. Hassell and Foster was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Miller was born in Franklin County and moved to Henderson County in 1906. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, C.F. Miller of route one, Athens; C.H. Miller of Lubbock; and Roy R. Miller of Winnsboro; three daughters, Mrs. P.F. Trammell of route one, Athens, Mrs. Jack Wall of Erick, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Phil Shumacher of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
