Bio

Emma Cora Snyder Avey was the daughter of Jacob Snyder & Elizabeth Hetzel Snyder. She was one of seven children. They were: S. Melvin (1866), John (1866), Walter (1868), Charles (1870), Dora (1873), and Sarah Elizabeth (1878). Emma married John Luther Avey 20 March 1884 in Washington Co., Maryland. By 1900, they had moved to Nebraska, then in 1910 they were in Highland, Washington, Kansas. By 1920, they had moved back to Auburn, Nemaha, Nebraska. Emma & John had seven children. They were: Howard (1884), Fannie (1889), Herbert (1886), Clarence W. (1896), Bertha (1897), Samuel, and Mamie "Magie" (1906).
