Bio

[Notes by Ann Meade] My great great great grandmother was the daughter of Peter and Anna Price McNamee. She married Jeptha N. Young about 1844 and had the following children: Margaret Artemiss Young Ashby Sarah Ann Young McManus William Norton Young (2nd great grandfather) Elizabeth Young Criddle Peter Young David Young Adeline "Addie" Young Ray Jeptha enlisted in the Confederate Army March 5, 1862 and was killed in the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee on Nov 30, 1864, at about age 38. Mary never remarried and is listed in the 1880 Chickasaw Co. census as widowed with her children David, Peter and Adeline living with her. She died about 1883 in Mississippi.
