Bio

Born in Scotland about 30 miles from Aberdeen. Migrated to America in abt. 1874 at age 20 along with a unknown cousin (who returned to Scotland). He eventually found his way to McMinn County, TN, where he met and married Julia Ann Cole (156-1880). They had two children, Robert Bruce , and Elizabeth "Bessie". When Julia died, Robert migrated to Collin County, TX, with some of Julia's extended family members. His two children stayed behind for a few years and lived with Julia's parents. Robert met Mary A. "Minnie" (Wise)Samuels (1859-1933) in Collin County, TX. They had six children: Grace Lulu, Minnie Myrtle, Kate Rowena, John Robert, Jennie Mae, and Willie "Bill" Edward.
