Lincoln Samuel was born 16 July, 1863, in Leighton, Allegan, Michigan, to Thomas Edward and Mary J. Perry Kenyon. After Lincoln's mother Mary died in Leighton, Michigan in 1874, Thomas took Lincoln and younger brother Abner J. Malon to Kaufman, Texas. On 6 April, 1882, Lincoln married Margret Ann "Maggie" Morris, daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Morris, in Ellis county Texas. Maggie and Lincoln had 3 children: Hattie, Allie Lennie and James Adolphus. Maggie died 12 February, 1890, in Ellis county, Texas. On 11 February, 1892, Lincoln married as his 2nd wife, Ruth Ann Houchin. The marriage took place in Poolsville, Parker, Texas, performed by the Reverand Carson. Ruth Ann and Lincoln were the parents of 8 children: John Edward, William Henry, Charles Lincoln, Ada Elizabeth, Lillie Ara "Pete", Buster Lee, Clyde Samuel and Gladys Evelyn. Lincoln and Ruth Ann lived in Wise, Texas in the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census. On the 1930 census, Lincoln and Ruth were living in Archer, Texas with daughters Allie Lennie Hobbs and Lillie Ara Barber and their families. Lincoln died 4 October, 1930 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
