Albert August Spalek, 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on October 3, 2010. He was born November 1, 1922 in Ganado, Texas. He was a WWII veteran, a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. His wife, Clara V. Spalek; son, Kenneth A. Spalek; and sister, Bessie Doreck preceded him in death. He is survived by four children, Dale (Carole) Spalek of Corpus Christi, Carol O'Hern of Corpus Christi, Elaine Zunker of Bryan, Texas and Charlotte (Jesse) Garcia of Spring Branch, Texas; nine grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Reverend Randy Cain as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
