Annastazie “Nancy” Nemec Kennedy, 98, born July 31, 1916 in Plum, Texas to Frank and Marie Spalek, passed away on March 29, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Fred J. Nemec (1958) and Harry Kennedy (1991), son Michael Nemec (1977), daughter Dr. Anna Marie Nemec (1991), son Dr. Richard Nemec (2005), daughter Elizabeth Runte (2006), 2 grandchildren, and sister Bessie Klekar and brother Albert Spalek. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed cooking and baking wonderful Czech meals, strudels and kolaches plus cooking and hosting holiday meals at Christmas and on other occasions. She loved having the entire family members over to enjoy her spectacular spread. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church for most of her life and was involved with Altar Society and other church related activities. Visitation with a Rosary to be recited at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home, 1222 Morgan Ave., Corpus Christi, TX 78404. A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. Published by Seaside Funeral Home.
