Bio

R112ose M. Pospisil, 87, of Fremont died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Fremont Area Medical Center. She was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Linwood to James and Mary (Cerny) Navrkal. Rose grew up in Linwood. She married Vladimir P. "Pete" Pospisil on April 14, 1941, in Papillion. After her marriage, she lived in Wahoo, Cedar Bluffs and Ames. In 1955, she moved to Fremont and worked for Campbell Soup Co. from 1956-1975. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 14, 1991. Survivors include: sons, Terry L. (and wife, Sandy) Pospisil of Schuyler and Lee A. (and wife, Alison) Pospisil of Fremont; daughters, Sharon (and husband, Ron) Lott of Fremont, Jean Owen of Norfolk and Janet (and husband, James) Sweeney of Rockford, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Zimmerman; granddaughter, Denise Brdicko; son-in-law, Jim Owen; sisters, Gustie Wesely, Mary Thompsen, Marcella Stejskal, Kristie Vyhlidal, Blanche Knight and Antionette Bucholtz; and brothers, Frank, James, Anton, Albin, Adolph and John Navrkal. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Ron Battiato of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. today, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
