Bio
Eolian's husband, James Addison Barker would travel alot, going to build houses, barnes, etc. for others. He always carried a photo of his beloved wife in his pocket. On the back of the photo, it read, please contact my wife if anything happens to me and I die. It had their Claude, TX address on it. I am certain that because of what happened to Eolian's father, it made them aware of some ID to have a way to notify his family. Daughter of John Stimpson Case 1847 - 1877. John was a school teacher, and living in the home of his wife's parents, the home of his in-laws Thomas Smith, Maury Co., TN. He was born in Kentucky and was called home to take care of family business. No one heard of him again. They assummed that he was killed on his way home to Kentucky or on his return to Maury Co., Tenn. His daughter Eolian was one year old when this occurred. The story was lead her husband to carry Eolian's picture in his bill-fold when he was away from home. On the back of this photo, Babe Barker wrote, in case of an accident, please contact my wife. All of her information and their home address was on the back of that picture... I do not know if it was Eolian or Babe who came up with the message. The note is sweet and loving. And they too must have had concerns when Babe would go every where to work on other ranches, mostly building, he was a fine carpenter. With the photo and hand written note on the back others could help him get back home to his beloved wife. Three sons I am still looking for their burial locations. Two were babies that died within the year of their birth. The 2nd child born to Eolian & James A. Barker was Jack Linn Barker Born 16 April 1894 Died 17 April 1894. 3rd child Carlos Case Barker Born 16 March 1896 Died 17 March 1896. 6th child born was Robert Cameron "Cam" Barker Born 18 Jan 1903 in Texas and died in Yavapai Co. Arizona. His wife was Ruth.
