Mr. Clyde DeeVan Parker: A native of Perdido, AL and a long time resident of Mobile, AL died on Friday, July 14, 2000 at the family residence. He was a former member of Northside Bible Church. Mr. Parker was a member of the Seafarers International Union and was retired from the Merchant Marines and Bender Shipbuilding. A daughter, Raejean Shifflett, preceded him in death. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Voncyle Parker; three daughters, Margaret (Gene) Carpenter of Tillman's Corner, Dianne (Daniel) Riley of Americus, GA, Pamela (Emmett) Burnett of Satsuma; two sons, Van C. "Skipper" Parker of Pound, VA and Richard H. Parker of Pensacola, FL; a sister, Vertis Harris of Chickasaw; a brother, Joseph Parke r of Saraland; eight grandchildren; four great-grand children, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2000 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to t he Alzheimer's Association.
