The Dodge Criterion Dodge, Nebraska 14 Jan 1915, Thu Page 4 Jos. Stecher died at the home of Dr. Karnik in Dodge Saturday night. On Wednesday before while going home from town his team ran away and he was thrown out of the vehicle. He was taken to the Karnik home and care for, but his injuries proved fatal. Joseph Stech was born in Bohemia August 24, 1881. He came to America with his parents in 1883, and they settled on the land he was farming at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Fannie Karnik September 23, 1902. He leaves besided the wife, two children, an aged mother and a sister. Funeral was held Tuesday under the direction of the Z.C.B.J. and M.W.A. lodges of which he was a member. The speaker was L.W. Dongres. Burial was had in the Bohemian National cemetery. The family has the sincere sympathy of the entire community.
