Bio

Alice Faye LeCroy, 69, of Kaufman, passed away Sept. 27, 2010 at Zale Lipshy hospital in Dallas as a result of a stroke and respiratory complications. Alice Faye was born Sept. 13, 1941 in Pasadena, Texas, the daughter of Lewis Van Smith and Ruby Josephine Reed. Alice Faye was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Claudine Cannon, brother James Ray Smith and cousins Jackie Ruth Mitchell and James Edward (Little Bill) Flowers. Alice is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Charles Alton LeCroy of Kaufman, brother Robert Lewis Smith of Wichita Falls and sister Mabel Joe Wester of Terrell. Left to cherish the memories are children: Sherry Ann Smith and spouse Mike Smith, Charles Alton LeCroy Jr. and wife Cindy LeCroy, Kirk Lewis LeCroy and wife Teri LeCroy all of Forney and Michael Shane LeCroy and wife Mindy LeCroy of Kaufman' grandchildren: Jay Doss, Kristen Benton, Tiffany Morgan, Casey Smith, Sheree Hall, Terry Hall, Chuck LeCroy Jr., Brandy Voge, Cash Jones, Laci Belz, Shane LeCroy Jr., Nikki LeCroy, Tyler Smith, and McKenna LeCroy along with numerous great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday Sept. 30 in the Chapel of Goggans Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Goggans Funeral Home. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Tribute Program P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home.
