Bio

Terrell Tribune, December 19, 1984 Lewis Van Smith, Terrell resident, died here Tuesday. He was a son of the late John Solon Smith and Lillian Beall Smith, born in Kaufman County September 25, 1908. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Survived by two sons, James Ray Smith, Forney; Robert Lewis Smith, Henrietta; two daughters, Alice Faye LeCroy, Terrell and Claudine Cannon, Bernace, La.; one foster-son, Bill Flowers, DeSoto; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lamon Smith and Thurman Smith, both of Terrell. Anderson-Clayton Bros., Terrell. Burial in Weaver Cemetery.
