Bio
Michael was born on January 20, 1826, in Ireland. Eldest granddaughter cited County Mayo as his birthplace, though other sources have suggested Rue, which was a townland in County Sligo. He died on May 26, 1916, in Portland, Oregon, and is buried at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland. He was a farmer and lived in Ireland, New York, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Colorado and Oregon. He died as a result of injuries sustained in a fall in a nursing home in Portland. His wife, Mary McGlone, was born in County Sligo, Ireland, on April 3, 1834, and died on August 9, 1899, in Lincoln County, Nebraska. They were married September 15, 1855 in Brooklyn, N.Y. They had 12 children.
