Hillsboro Daily Mirror, 13 Aug 1969 - Mr. Joe Burton, 63, of Route 1, Milford, died yesterday at 10 am in a local hosp. Funeral services will be conducted from the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Chapel at 10 am Thurs. Mr. Bruton was born 29 Oct 1885 near Malone. He lived all his life in Hill County & was a member of the East Elm Street Church. He had a daughter, Vela, who died in Feb. of 1924. He married Josie Morgan on 25 Dec 1901. Survivors include his wife; 3 daughters; Mrs. Esther Havenon-Irene, Mrs. Ida Fox-Seattle, Washington & Mrs. Lola Truly-San Antonio; 2sons: Woodrow Bruton-Itasca & Mayfe Bruton-Dallas. 5 gch, 5 great-gch & 5 great-great-gch.
