Bio

The Wellington Leader August 8, 1991 R.L. came to Collingsworth County at an early age with his parents, Frederick and Effie. He graduated from Quail high school in 193. He married Louise Cox December 27, 1952,at Clovis, New Mexico. He served with the 4th Army Air Corps in the United States as a TSGT. with the 13th Army Air Corps, 70th Flight Squadron in the South Pacific for 3 1/2 years during world War II. He served on the Farmers Co-op Gin Board of directors, Farmers Home Administration Committee, Collingsworth County farm Bureau Board of Directors and Greenbelt Translator board. Mabery received the Best Farmer award by the Salt Fork Soil Conservation committee in 1969. He was a lifeime member of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Louise of Wellinton; one daughter, Robi Lou of Abilene; two sisters, Alta Blasingame of Ingleside and Mildred Birch of Scrmento Ca. nd by numberous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Harley Mabery.
