Bio

Lora A. (Smith) Franks, 82, of Middletown, died Sept. 19, 2010, at Muncie Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was born May 29, 1928, in Virginia, and had lived in Hancock, Henry and Madison counties for the past 58 years. She was a homemaker and member of Center Chapel Church. Survivors include her daughter, Latricia Creek and husband, Mike; sister, Juanita Fowler; brothers, Charlie Smith and Lawrence (Shirley) Smith; four grandchildren, Shannon (Eric) Rossi, Daniel Franks, Sharon (Brian) Bailey and Amanda Franks; four great-grandchildren, Sam, Leo, and Annabelle Rossi and Hunter Franks; along with many treasured nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Franks, Sr., parents, Charlie and Alice (Ward) Smith; son, Troy Franks, Jr.; brothers, LeRoy and Clifford Smith; and a sister, Ina Mae Harless.
