Bryan-College Station Eagle, Tue, Mar 29, 1994 Annie Albina Smotek October 8, 1898 - March 27, 1994 Somerville - Funeral services for Annie Albina Smotek, of Somerville will be today at the Strickland Funeral Home. She was born in the Sebesta community near Snook. She died Sunday morning in Burleson Memorial Hospital. She attended school in the Merle community and lived in Snook until 1966, when the family moved to Somerville. She was a member of the Snook Brethren Church and was baptized and confirmed at the church in September 1913. She married Frank Smotek on September 22, 1918. Annie was active in Years for Profit in Somerville. Her hobbies included cooking, quilting and gardening. Family members said she had great love for them. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 5, 1977; her parents, Mrs and Mrs. Tom Vajdak; a daughter Lilliam Ottmer; two sons, Edward and Roy Smotek; three sisters, Mary Sebesta, Minnie Kovar and Matilda Ruback; six brothers, Joe, John, Tom, Walter, Henry, and Aldoph Vajdak
