Frederick "Fred" George Lude, Jr. was born in 1911 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York, to Louise (Maiden unknown) and Frederick George Lude, Sr. Fred moved to Austin, Travis County, Texas sometime prior to 1958, as in 1958 in the home of her parents in Giddings, Lee County, Texas he married Gertrude Lehman b 1911 in Paige, Bastrop County, Texas, the first of five children born to Annie Marie Muesse b 18 Jun 1889 Fayetteville, Fayette County, Texas d 19 Jan 1969 Austin, Travis County, Texas, and, Hermann Gerhard Lehman, Sr. b 24 May 1879 in Paige, Bastrop County, Texas d 21 Jan 1965 in Austin, Travis County, Texas. Gertrude and Fred lived in Austin, Travis County, Texas in the same home their entire married life. As they married at age 47, no children were born to this union, however, they enjoyed their many nieces and nephews. Gertrude worked in a bank for many years and Fred was a machinist. Gertrude and Fred were blessed with many nieces and nephews from Gertrude's brothers and sister. They took several of the ones who were old enough to enjoy the trip along with them on their vacations back to Buffalo, Erie County, New York to visit Fred's family, his mother, and siblings Louise, Corine, and Bill who all lived in their mother's home in Buffalo. In about 1987, after their mother and brother Bill died, Louise and Corine moved to Denver, Colorado where they lived until their deaths. Gertrude's parents came to live with them following her father's retirement, due to poor health. Her father died 21 Jan 1965, her mother died just 4 years later, 19 Jan 1969. Together they led a full life. Frederick G. Lude, Jr. died 22 Aug 1986 in Austin, Travis County, Texas, age 75. Gertrude lived until 15 Jan 1998 when she died in Austin, Travis County, Texas, and was laid to rest beside her husband of 28 years.
