Bio

OBITUARY George McKee was born May 4, 1883 at Seward, Nebraska and died at Omaha, April 9, 1912, as the result of an accident which occurred a week before, his age being 28 years, 11 month and 5 days. The family came to Custer county in 1884, where they lived until about a year ago. George was married to Miss Hattle DeBusk, July 26, 1906. He removed to Canada last spring, leaving there for Hamill, So. Dakota some two months ago where he was just completing a home when the fatal accident occurred. He leaves to mourn his untimely death, a wife and two children, Florence and Burton, a father, mother, six brothers, John, Nelson, Abner, Claude and Floyd, who live in Canada, and Fred who resides here, and two sisters, Mrs. Maud Hall, who resides in Custer county and Mabel, who lives with her parents In Canada. Mr. McKee was raised in this community, was well and favorably known and the bereaved family have the sympathy of a large number o f their friends. The remains were brought to Sargent for Interment. Funeral services were held In the Christian church Friday at 1 o'clock, Mr. Denton, conducting the services. Members of the A . O. U . W., to which, order the deceased belonged, acted as pallbearers.
