Oscar Anderson, 55, Services Held Monday Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Oscar Anderson, 65, who passed away unexpectedly Aug. 19 at a Broken Bow hospital. Rev. Merle Zook had charge of the services at the Methodist church. "Ivory Palaces " and "God Will Take Care of You" were sung by a quartet composed of Ernest Kotrc, Mrs. Grace Kidder, Mrs. Wm. McNiel, and Bob Sutton, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Pointer, pianist. Pallbearers were Amos Khapp, Charlie Thompson, Andy Harbel, Delbert Powers, Oietin Cooper, and Everett Chapman. Interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery. (obituary) Oscar Lars Anderson, son of Lars and Anna Anderson, was born July 19, 1897, in Phillips, Nebr., and passed away at Broken Bow hospital, Aug. 19, 1952, at the age of 56 years and 1 month. His mother, father and one sister preceding him in death. On January 27, 1923, he was united in marriage to Eva Belle Grisham at Taylor, Nebr., and to this union 5 children were born. They are Mrs. Darlene Wolsleben, Sargent; Cpl. Dale E. Anderson, stationed with the Army in England; Mrs. Ellen Mae Green Grand Island, Nebr.; Elva Leigh Anderson, at home; and an infant son who preceded him in death. He has spent the last 11 years as road patrolman for Custer "He is survived by his wife, Mrs Eva Anderson; 4 children; five grandchildren, seven brothers, Lambert Anderson of Marquette Nebr., Elmer Anderson, Gus Anderson of Aurora, Nebr., Ernest Anderson of Aurora, Ruben Anderson of Phillips, Nebr., Mr. Charlie Anderson of Phillips, Nebr., Andrew Anderson of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Ortergen, Marquette, Nebr., and Miss Ellen Anderson, Lincoln, Nebr.; and a host of relatives and friends.
