Elehoe (sic) D. Tuttle was born March 8, 1855 in Michigan and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Arrasmith, near Loup City June 25, 1923, aged 68 years, 3 months and 17 days. At an early age he moved with his parents to Iowa where he grew to manhood. In the year 1876 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth King. In 1883 they moved to Nebraska where they since made their home. His wife passed away June 6, 1905. He leaves to mourn his decease, four sons, J. A. Tuttle of Ericson, Wilbur of Colorado, Arthur of Cushing, and Charles of Nordton, three daughters, Lena Arrasmith of Loup City, Ada Semple of Burwell, and Elsie Lux of Ravenna, and several grandchildren, also three brothers, Harry Tuttle of Arkansas, who was present at the funeral, and William and George, of Cedar Bluffs, Kansas, and two sisters, Anna and Molissa. Mr. Tuttle lived in this town for many years until his children were grown and had departed to homes of their own. He was a man of kindly disposition and enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who knew him. The funeral was held from the Christian Church Wednesday afternoon, H. A. Wingard officiating, and interment was made in the Palmer Cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sincere sympathy of this entire community.
