Bio
Mrs. Mary Schenk, aged 83 years, who died at the home of a daughter in San Antonio Wednesday of last week was brought here for interment in St. Michael's cemetery and the body laid to rest Thursday afternoon, Rev. Jos. Szysmanski officiating. The funeral was largely attended. Mrs. Schenk died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Rahmsdorf. Mrs. Schenk was a native of Austria, had lived in this country 30 years, in Weimar up to twelve years ago when, following the death of her husband, she moved to San Antonio to make her home with her daughter. She is survived by one son, Stephen Richter of Dacosta, five daughters, Mrs. Mary Berger of this city, Mrs. Anna Koenig of Hobson, Mrs. Lena Nitschmann of Northene, Mrs. Pauline Nierlich of Engle, and Mrs. Emma Rahmsdorf of San Antonio; 47 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Schenk was a lovable, good woman, well liked by all who knew her, and her death is deeply and sincerely deplored. Weimar Mercury, June 12, 1925
