Bertha Kasper daughter of Edward E. and Mary Kainer.Bertha Kainer married John J. Kasper on January 14,1930. Kasper, Bertha (Kainer) Mrs. Kasper's Funeral Held Here June 29 Mrs. Bertha Kasper, 83, of Rt. 3, Weimar, died at 2:30 a.m. June 28 in Brackenridge Hospital, Austin, of cerebral blood clot. She had been hospitalized for three and a half weeks. Funeral services were held Friday, June 29, from St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Rev. Timothy Kosler of Schulenburg officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. Mrs. Kasper was born Nov. 28, 1900, at Nada, a daughter of Ed and Mary (Bittner) Kainer. She was married to John J. Kasper here on January 14, 1930. Her husband was a partner in Kasper Meat Market here from 1957 to 1967. He died April 10, 1981. Mrs. Kasper was a member of St. Michael's Church and St. Ann Society. Surviving her are one son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie E. and Aileen Kasper of Weimar; five grandchildren, Barney Kasper of Weimar, Mrs. Cynthia Phelps of LaFayette, La., Maurice and Jean Kasper of Weimar, and Francis Kasper of San Antonio and Weimar; one brother, Edmund Kainer of Sweetwater; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Brune of Weimar and Mrs. Louise Brinkley of Houston. Serving as pallbearers were James Heger, Adolf Kainer, Glen Hoegemeyer, Harold Brinkley, Marvin F. Gilbreath, and Charlie Anders. The Weimar Mercury, July 12, 1984
