Marcella Kasper daughter of Joseph John and Anna M. Vacek.Marcella Vacek married Stephan John Kasper on October 8,1914. Kasper, Marcella (Vacek) Mrs. Kasper's Funeral Held Here Oct. 13 Funeral services for Mrs. Steve J. Kasper, 80, were held Thursday, October 11, from Hubbard Funeral Chapel and St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Charles Carolan officiated. Mrs. Kasper's grandsons, Dixon, John and Marvin Frank Gilbreath, Joseph, John Michael and Pat Kolar, all of Houston, served as pallbearers. Mrs. Kasper died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, October 11, in Youens Hospital, of a heart attack. She had been in the hospital 3 _ weeks and had been ill the past two years. The former Marcella Vacek, she was born May 15, 1893, at Ammannsville, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Slubar Vacek. She was married to Mr. Kasper October 6, 1914, and except for about a year and a half in Columbus they had lived here since. Mr. Kasper died in March 1962. Mrs. Kasper was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers' Society, Catholic Knights of America, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mrs. Leona Gilbreath of Weimar and Mr. and Mrs. John Kolar of Houston; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. I. J. Mazoch of Granger and Mrs. Ed Horak of San Antonio; a stepsister, Mrs. Dora Sury of Houston; and brother, J. F. Vacek of Weimar. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were a sister, Mrs. Frank Sassin, and a brother, Raymond Vacek. The Weimar Mercury, October 18, 1973
