Bio

Vincent J. Luza, 83, of Bryan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at Hillier Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Bryan City Cemetery. Vince was born on March 29, 1924. He served his country during World War II in several European countries. He owned and operated Luza Upholstery from 1964 until 2002, where he made many friends. Vince was gentle and soft-spoken and was one-of-a-kind. He will be missed so very much in this world but will make heaven a sweeter place to look forward too. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanetta Luza; stepdaughter, Charles Lynn Fisher and husband, J.H. Fisher; one grandson; one great-grandson; sisters, Mary Zemanek and Cecilia Luza; and brother Charles Luza Sr. Survivors include his devoted wife, Judy Luza; daughter, Tommie Ann Moore and husband, Bobby; adopted son, John Luza; stepson, Billy Courtney and wife, Ester; stepdaughter, JoAnn Reyna and husband, Max; seven granddaughters; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Anton Luza and wife, Willie Ann; sisters, Helen Milberger and husband, James, and Tracy Horn; sister-in-law, Lydia Luza; brother-in-law, Earl McWilliams and wife, Wilma; mother-in-law, Cleo Cox; sisters-in-law, Patricia Schmidt and husband, Camilo, Linda Levin and Carol Garcia and husband, Oscar; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
