transcribed from Deseret News - February 22, 1995 SANDY - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Bernice Lane Brown, age 86, passed away February 21, 1995 in Sandy. Born May 1, 1908 in Sandy to James R. and Emma Turner Lane. Married Doyle H. Brown on October 15, 1926 in Farmington, Utah. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1980. She enjoyed her family, traveling, baseball and crocheting. Survived by one son and four daughters, Jerald F. Brown (Cleona), Kamas; Jackie Wisuri (Les), Lake Ozark, Missouri; Carma Olson (LaMarr), and Kathy Hammer, all Sandy; RaLane Arand, Jefferson City, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, two grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services Friday, February 24, 1995, 11 a.m., Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 10-10:45. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
