Bio

ALDA E. KEMP Nov. 22 1995 Alda E. Kemp, 89 Alton, died at 9:30 A. M. last Wednesday at her home. She was a native of Orange County, born June 22, 1906, the daughter of the late Henry C. and Mary Jenny Bye East. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, DAR and the Eastern Star in Leavenworth. Survivors include two sons, Gary W. Kemp of Alton and Larry D. Kemp of Illinois; a daughter, Edna E. Stumler of Floyds Knobs; several grandchildren, including Joseph Lee Young of Alton, who cared for her, and several great-grandchildren. The funeral was Saturday at Alton Baptist Church with burial in East Cemetery. The Rev. Leland Lockhart; Brother Marvin Culver and Brother Charles Newberry officiated. Mabel Roll was organist, Dillman-Green Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Pallbearers were Earl D., Eldon and Bob LaHue, and David, Clayton and Ross East. - Mark Kemp Added: Oct. 3, 2010
