CHILDRESS, Texas - Davis 'Dave' W. Vaughan, 92, of Houston died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in Houston. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Don McFarland, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church of Childress, officiating. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery. Mr. Vaughan was born Nov. 4, 1905, in Farmersville, Texas. He and Myra Meece were married July 28, 1928, in Childress. She died Jan. 8, 1990. He had lived in Houston for the past eight years. He changed well charts for Skelly Oil Company. Survivors include a daughter, Billie Rowley of Houston; a sister, Nellie Royal of Childress, Texas; and two grandchildren.
