J.H. Elliott Rites Held August 10th Funeral services were held for Mr. J. H. Elliott on Thursday August 10th, at 2 pm at the Arcadia Methodist Church. Interment was in the Arcadia Cemetery. John Hall Elliott, son of Allen and Georgia Hall Elliott, was born at Harvard, Nebraska, July 13, 1877, and died at the Valley County Hospital at Ord, Nebraska, following an illness of two months, August 8, 1967, at the age of 90 years and 26 days. He was married to Clara B. Black in Phelps county, Nebraska, November 6, 1902. Mr. Elliott moved to a farm north of Arcadia in 1933. In 1935 he moved into Arcadia which has been his home since. He retired in 1940. His survivors are his wife of Arcadia; three sons, Richard of Minneapolis, Minn., Allen of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Harold of Arcadia; four daughters, Mrs. Belle Benson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Edna Pape of Topeka, Kansas, Mrs. Dr. Louise Dalby of Saratogo Springs, New York, and Mrs. Margaret Golka of Riverdale, Nebraska; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Glandon and Miss Edna Elliott, both of Holdrege, Nebraska, and Mrs. Lucy Porter of Lincoln, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
