Bio

Mrs. Margaret Dessie Griffiths Pakensky was born September 9, 1895 at Verdon, NE. Margaret graduated from Humboldt High School in 1914 and Doane College in 1919. She Taught school for three years in Cook and Howells High School. On July 25, 1922 she married to Dr. John F. Palensky of Howells. To them were born two daughters, Rose Marie, who died in infancy, and Norma who died 1980. Dr. Palensky practiced Dentistry in Howells and served thirty years as President of the Howells Board Education. In 1965 Dr. and Mrs. Palensky moved to Bloomfield to be near their daughter Norma Nagengast and her family. Dr. Palensky died in February, 1984. Mrs. Palensky was active in the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, The Women's Fellowship and Circle I groups. She also was a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Auxiliary and the Bloomfield Women's Club. She enjoyed music, gardening and card playing.
