Bio

In September. 1959 Dr. Delwyn J. And Norma Palensky Nagengast with their children Patricia and David moved from Japan to Bloomfield where the doctor joined Dr. R.H. Kohtz in the practice of medicine.. Dr. Nagengast was a 1956 graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine and had completed internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He subsequently served two years as a medical officer at Itazuke Air Force Base Hospital in Japan. Norma was a graduate of Doane College and had done graduate work at the University of Nebraska. Subsequently Kathleen, Stephen, John, and Jim were born to the Nagengast family. Norma was active in the Rpublican Party and served on the State Central Committee. She was also an avid gardener, deer and pheasant hunter. In 1980 Norma died of breast cancer.
