Billie "Mimi" Charles, 84, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Gambrell Street Baptist Church. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Gambrell Street Baptist Church, 1616 W. Gambrell St., Fort Worth, Texas 76115. Mimi, as she was affectionately known after the birth of her first grandchild, was a member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Charles. Survivors: Her loving children, Cindy Thompson (Mike), Carolyn Goetz (Chris), Greg Charles (Ginny), and Becky Beckham (David); grandchildren, Stacey Hodges (Aaron), Ashlee Mason (Jonathan), Kendall Goetz, Guy Charles (Elaine), Gage Charles, Nathan Beckham and Mckenzie Beckham; great-grandchildren, Boston, Amelie and Austin Hodges, and Wyatt Mason; and numerous extended family members and friends.
