Bio

Minnie McCormick, 66, of Glendo died early Monday morning (October 13, 1975) at the Converse County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Minnie Anna Spellman was born November 14, 1908 in Emphoria, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Annie Back Spellman. Her family moved to Wyoming in 1914 and homesteaded northwest of Lost Springs. She attended school in Lost Springs and Casper. On February 29, 1924 she married John Archie Baker in Casper. Three children were born to this marriage: Mrs. Violet Mae Crosby of Casper, Mrs. Marie Bell May of Riverton, and Mrs. Betty Louise Peterson of Evansville. Archie Baker died in 1946. Roy and Minnie McCormick were married in Cheyenne on March 4, 1947. Since that time they have lived on their ranch near Glendo. Besides her three daughters, she is also survived by her widower, Roy of Glendo and one step-son, Bill Ziska of Cora, Wyoming.
