Bun Wright was the son of Isaac Newton Wright and Nancy Ann Alford Wright. Bun Wright, a favorite musician of Pres. Franklin Roosevelt. His fiddle, cane and hat are at the Little White House Museum, Warm Springs. He was born October 16, 1870. He was born in a sawmill shack next to the Flint River Branch that goes to the camp. This was the first house the family moved into after moving out of his mother's house. They lived in the sawmill shack until lumber was cut and the house could be built. Isaac Newton Wright divided his land in the Flint River District up with his children. Bun received land from the first ditch to the second ditch. In 1906, he built his house from lumber cut off the mountain. He swapped his share of the lumber for enough lumber to build his home. He hand picked the lumber which was mostly pure heart pine. His children, Zelma, Lillian, Hiriam, Ina Mae , Aurelia, Julius, and Cornelia were born in this house. Bun Wright, was a favorite musician of Pres. Franklin Roosevelt.
