From The Palmer Journal, November 10, 1955, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Funeral Today For Mrs. Bruno Burkhardt - Funeral services were to be held today (Thursday) for Mrs. Bruno Burkhardt, 77, who passed away at Coolidge hospital at 8:32 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Burkhardt entered the hospital last Friday. A resident of this community most of her life, Mrs. Burkhardt was preceded in death by her husband in 1941. She moved into Palmer shortly thereafter. Survivors include ten children: Hugo, Arthur, Richard, Mrs. Clara Eckstrom and Mrs. John Lawrence of Palmer Bruno and Fred of Grand Island, Mrs. Edna Feddersen of Dannebrog; Harry of Ontario, Ore., and Otto of The Dalles Ore. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister. Services were in charge of Rev. K. H. Tiemann at St. John's Lutheran church. Burial was in Palmer cemetery.
