Fremont Tribune (Fremont, Nebraska) 25 Jan 1958, Sat Page 11 Services Sunday For Mrs. Stranik Morse Bluff - Services for Mrs. Emma Stranik, 60, housewife who died Friday at a Fremon[ hospital, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at ZCBJ Hall. Muside will be by Frederick and Raymond Hoefek of Prague. Mrs. Stranik, who was born Dec. 16, 1897, at Prague, had lived in Morse Bluff for about 40 years. She was a member of ZCBJ Lodge. On July 23, 1917, she married Louis Stranik at Stanton, He survives. Other survivors are daughters, Mrs. Mabel E. Morse of Littleton, Colo..; Mrs. Leona Fencl of Morse Bluff; sons, Louis J. of Morse Bluff; sons, Louis J. of Morse Bluff, Raymond with the armed forces at Long Beach, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Anna Kavan of Prague, Mrse. Joe Volse of Clarkson; brother, Mike Placek of Prague; one grandson. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery at Prague. Sellhorn Funeral Home has charge. North Bend Eagle (North Bend, Nebraska) 30 Jan 1958, Thu Page 1 Mrs. Stanik Dies At Age of 60 Years Mrs. Emma Stranik of Morse Bluff, wife of Louis Stranik, died Friday morning, January 24, 1958 at the Dodge County hospital at the age of 60 years. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26 at the ZCBJ Lodge hall in Morse Bluff, of which she was a member. Mrs. Stranik, who was born Emma Placek, was the daughter of Mike Sr. and Barbara Placek of Prague, Nebraska. She attended Prague public schools and later was united in marriage to Louis Stranik at Stanton, Nebraska on July 23, 1917. To this union were born five children, one, Lumir, preceding her in death. Surviving children are Mrs. Joe Fencl of Morse Bluff, Mrs. D.E. Morse of Littleton, Colo., Louis J. Stranik of Morse Bluff, and Raymond A. Stranik, at present on active duty with the Navy. Also surviving are one brother, Mike, of Prague, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Volse of Clarkson, and Mrs. Anna Kavan of Prague. She is survived also by one grandson, Gregory Alan Morse, son of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Morse of Littleton, Colo. Burial was in the Prague National cemetery.
