Bio

Headstone has multiple errors. According to the book "William McMurtry of Kentucky and Alabama and His Descendants" by Esther McMurtry LeBaron, Dora Bennett Eaves, the daughter of Stephen Bennett (Pete's brother), says he was born in 1878, not 1888. His name should be spelled "Pete", and his parents should be "J. P. & A. I. Bennett" (John Pinkston and Alice Isabel Bennett).
