Evadeen Beatty Robison, age 85, was born in Toquerville, Utah on February 7, 1925 to John Thomas Beatty and Eva Florence Slack. She was the eighteenth of twenty-one children. From this large family, she learned independence, to work hard, and reverence for God. There was no doubt that she had a love and devotion for the LDS Church, where she served in many ways. She was faithful to the end, never did she falter or waiver in her faith. Her father John Thomas Beatty was born in 1869, just two weeks after the Golden Spike was driven. From her parents and grand-parents she learned and watched pioneer life. Evadeen was always appreciative of their sacrifices and love of the gospel. For many years, she was a member of the DUP, an organization she loved. She worked at Broadway, Weinstocks, and Dillards for twenty-two years. She loved the people she worked with and missed them after her retirement. Her real love was her home and her family. Here she excelled. Her home and yard were always well manicured. She enjoyed home arts, especially crocheting. On September 8, 1943, she married Franklin Duane Robison in the Salt Lake Temple. He died November 22, 2009. Her loneliness for him was evidenced until the end, now all is well. She resided at 2779 West Lastrada Way (12775 South) in Riverton, Utah at the time of her death. She will be missed by her family Tanya (William S. Linford) of South Jordan and Duane Cloyd (Diane Baker) of Riverton. She is survived by seven grandchildren who will always have fond memories of her: Staci, Shani, Jami, Jeremy, Jordan, Tyson, and Kiley. She has fifteen great-grandchildren and a brother J. Lewis Beatty (Marietta) Hurricane. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Church, 12830 South 2700 West. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, and at the Church one hour prior to the services. Interment: Riverton City Cemetery. Published in the Deseret News from August 8 to August 9, 2010.
