Bio

Harvey was born in Cravens on Aug. 30, 1923 to Henry "Doc" Parsons and Mary Jane Perkins Bailey. In 1930 he lived in Ward Five. His father was a farmer. In 1940 no father lived in the household. He listed his occupation as a driver upon entry into the military. Harvey listed Pitkin as his home when he entered the USAAF on July 23, 1943. For some reason, he served in the US Army and was a member of 349th Inf., 88th Div. He was killed in action on Oct. 3, 1944 in Italy. He was buried in Florence American Cemetery in Via Cassia, Italy.
