PVT Kalinec was killed by sharpenal while advancing with his Company through the dense woods on September 13th during fighting on the St. Mihiel salient. He came to the regiment from the Texas National Guard Contributor: Michael Spautz (49260156) Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 2, 1919
