Bio
J.L. BEASLEY, 91, died July 27, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Hawley Church of Christ with P.B. Middlebrook officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Born August 5, 1918 in Jones County, J.L. was a son of the late James Luther and Etta (Scott) Beasley. He married Juanita Hollis on January 14, 1937 in Anson, Texas. In 1950, J.L. established Beasley Well Service. He owned and operated his business until his retirement. J.L served as President for the Texas Cowboy's Christmas Ball Association and served on the board of directors for Jones County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Truby Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife (Juanita), two brothers and four sisters. Survivors include one son J.L. Beasley Jr. (and wife, Dorothy) of Aspermont; two daughters, Judy Cooley (and husband, Richard) of Hodges and Joy Ashworth of Anson; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home, 732 Ave. I in Anson. Published in Abilene Reporter-News on July 30, 2010
